Gyde was engaged by Divalls Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage to prepare a Designated Development Application for a temporary resource recovery facility at the existing quarry site in Carrick. Development consent was sought to recover and process between 30,000 - 45,000 tonnes of excavated public road material(EPRM), initially, for a maximum period of 18 months. Part of the existing quarry at the site was proposed to be used to process EPRM from the proposed Marulan Bypass Pavement Rehabilitation (MBPR) site. The processed EPRM would then be transported back to the bypass project site for re-use.
Gyde prepared the request for Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements for the DA, coordinated all required technical plans and investigations and prepare the Environmental Impact Statement for submission to Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
The project, approved by the Southern Regional Planning Panel in November 2022, will promote the sustainable reuse of material for the bypass project, that would otherwise be disposed of.
