35 Carinya Street Blacktown

What we did

We prepared a DA and supporting documentation, including a Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE), Plan of Management (PoM), House Rules and Social Impact Assessment (SIA). All relevant specialist assessments, specifically those for traffic, drainage, acoustics, waste management, geotechnical and tree removal, were considered in the preparation of the DA submitted to Blacktown Council. The SEE demonstrates how the proposal achieves compatibility with the varied built form in the locality and the future redevelopment anticipated in the R4 – High Density Residential zone, as well as how it exhibits design excellence and contributes to the character values of the area. The DA proposes the demolition of the existing dwelling and associated outbuildings, removal of 5 existing trees and the construction of a ‘New Generation’ Boarding House comprising of 57 boarding rooms with private bathrooms and kitchenettes, an on-site manager’s unit, communal rooms at each level of the building and two levels of basement parking.
